Elie was transformed under the Victorian age and regular visitors made their way to the harbour town at the turn of the century. Once landing many ferries in its hay-day, Elie has since established itself as a historically eye-pleasing village that attracts many visitors throughout the year. The ferries have made way for water sport activities and the train line that once carried people to the east neuk has been replaced by golfers and walkers alike.


Excellent local produce available from a selection of local shops, fantastic delis and up market restaurants. Elie also boasts a combined post office and police station harking back to a bygone age.


Most roads in Elie lead to its award winning beaches, fantastic for long walks and picnics when the weather allows!
