Follow you nose down the Mile and you will eventually arrive at Holyrood Palace; famous for being the home at one time of one of Scotland’s most tragic figures, Mary Queen of Scots, today the Queens residency when she visits Scotland. A stroll across the road and you arrive at Scotland’s newest architectural gem, the Scottish Parliament giving Scotland a true identity.

Across in the New Town, (a UNESCO heritage site) the present day glamour of our capital is all too evident to see. Here in the summer months the streets become engorged with actors, musicians and comedians as Edinburgh plays host to the largest arts festival in world. While 5 minutes from the city centre Edinburgh Zoo will keep the younger ones amused with penguins, lions and face painting classes.

Dotted around Edinburgh there are numerous golf courses, that range from relaxing seaside links course (Gullane) to the more strenuous Bruntsfield and many public courses such as Silverknowes, with tremendous views across to the Firth of Forth and on to Fife.
